Jody Arlington

PUBLIC RELATIONS MANAGER

Jody Arlington is a communications strategist specializing in festival, entertainment and public education PR. She is Owner of Arlington + Co PR and has managed publicity for SILVERDOCS for the last nine years. She has spearheaded in-market and political press for dozens of documentary releases, as well as creating strategic public-private partnerships and outreach campaigns for both documentary and narrative films. She is co-founder of the Impact Arts + Film Fund, and teaches an Entertainment PR course at Georgetown University. She also serves as Communications Director for the President's Committee on the Arts and the Humanities, which just launched its Turnaround Arts Initiative. Previously, she was Vice President at Fleishman-Hillard spearheading their golden dollar campaign and was the key architect of the US Treasury and Federal Reserve Board's introduction of the newly redesigned currency. Past projects also include multiple Atlantic Council Galas, Kennedy Center Honors Galas, National Archives Galas, Christmas in Washington events and work with the Smithsonian and other cultural institutions.
