Almudena Carracedo
Born in Madrid Almudena Carracedo is the award-winning director and producer of the documentary MADE IN L.A. Funded by the Sundance Documentary Fund, ITVS and PBS’ POV series, the film has received critical acclaim and international awards, including the Henry Hampton Award for Excellence and the Special Mention of the Jury at the Valladolid International Film Festival. Her previous documentary on Tijuana as a border town, WELCOME, A DOCU-JOURNEY OF IMPRESSIONS, received the Sterling Award for Best Short Documentary at SILVERDOCS Documentary Film Festival and screened in numerous national and international festivals. Almudena is the recipient of the National Association of Latino Independent Producers ESTELA Award, and is a member of the WGA’s Non-Fiction Writers Caucus.
